A large skip containing building materials in the Galliagh area of Derry has been set on fire for the second time in less than 48 hours.
The skip is located close to flats at Altcar Park.
It was first set ablaze at around 11.00pm on Friday night last.
It was targeted for a second time (pictured) at around 6.45pm this evening.
Those responsible have ignored appeals to let local residents “live in peace,”
Following Friday night’s fire, Independent councillor for the area, Warren Robinson, called on those responsible to desist from their acfivities which, he said, were an attack on the community.
He added: “The community is demanding that those responsible simply leave them in peace.”
