Thousands are expected to visit Derry’s St Eugene’s Cathedral over the coming days to pay final respects to the late retired Bishop of Derry, Most Rev Dr Edward Daly.
Bishop Daly passed away in Altnagelvin Hospital yesterday morning after a lengthy illness. He was 82.
The body of the popular cleric is reposing in the 143-year-old church.
There has been a steady stream of visitors since his remains were brought to repose last night.
Bishop Daly will be laid to rest in the cathedral grounds following 3.30pm Requiem Mass on Thursday.
