Police in Derry are appealing for witnesses following an assault on a woman in the city.
The incident occurred in the Rosemount/Creggan Road roundabout area (pictured) between 7.30pm and 8.00pm on Saturday, 16 July, but details have just been released.
A 30-year-old woman attended hospital for treatment to her injuries after she was assaulted by a man.
Appealing for information, Constable Millar said: “The assailant is described as a man, aged in his late 30’s and of an average build.
“The man had short dark hair which was greying and was worn in a quiff.
“He was wearing a dark blue jumper and jeans.
“This male approached the female from behind and pushed her into the road where she fell and landed on her arm.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 750 of 9/8/16.
“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
