Derry has again been nominated as a finalist in the Small City category of the highly prestigious Britain in Bloom Awards.

The city won the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) accolade in 2011 and regained it last year.

Over 1,000 communities around Britain enter each year, participating in their local region's "in Bloom" campaign.

From these regional competitions, roughly 70 communities are selected to enter the national finals.

The judges for this year’s competition have visited the city.
