Police in Derry have praised a taxi driver and his passenger following the arrest of two suspected thieves in the city in the early hours of this morning.
According to police the suspects were apprehended by the Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Policing Team while “rummaging” through a vehicle in the Carnhill area at around 2.00am.
They are currently being questioned at Strand Road Police Station.
A police spokesperson said: “Ballyarnett NPT would like to thank the taxi driver and passenger in Carnhill for your help.”
