A Derry road remains closed this afternoon almost 17 hours after a large bonfire was lit on it last night.
The bonfire set on fire on Glassagh Road in the Piggery Ridge area at the rear of Creggan estate continues to burn.
Meanwhile, the clean-up operation following last night’s controversial bonfire in the Bogside is nearing completion.
The area was cleaned up this morning and Road Services are currently carrying out repairs to the damaged Lecky Road.
The road and the adjacent flyover are open to traffic in both directions.
