A 20-year-old man has appeared in court charged with assaulting his mother.
Kyle Lewis, of Waterloo Street, appeared before Derry Magistrates Court charged with assaulting his mother and causing damage to a plate and a window.
The alleged offence are said to have taken place on July 28, 2016.
A police officer in court said they could connect Lewis to the charges.
Lewis was released on continuing bail and is banned from having any contact with his mother or any other prosecution witnesses.
He is also prohibited from entering Marianus Park and from consuming alcohol and is subject to random testing.
He will appear back before the court again on September 7.
