A special football tournament has been held in Derry in a bid to kick out homophobia.

The ‘Football vs Homophobia’ tournament was held at Bishop’s Field pitches in Creggan yesterday.

It was organised as part of the Foyle Pride Festival.

Among the teams that took part in the football tournament were ones from the SDLP and Sinn Fein.

Another team included local independent councillors.

The tournament was open to people from all genders.

Pictured above is one of the teams that took part.

See Monday's Derry News for extensive coverage of the 'Football vs Homophobia' tournament.
