Cannabis found in Ballymagroarty to be 'disposed of properly': BCE

This is the substantial amount of cannabis discovered in the Ballymagroarty area of Derry at the weekend.

Ballymagroarty Community Empowerment (BCE) said the drugs were handed over to them by a member of the public.

The group said the drugs have been passed on to the “Time2Choose” who, they said, “will make sure its disposed of properly.”

The group said: “This is fantastic for our group and the residents of Ballymagroarty and wider areas as it shows that people are believing our group are doing things right and are gaining confidence in the group and that any information passed to us is completely confidential.

“Hopefully, this is the beginning of better things for our communtiy as a whole.”

“Time2Choose” aims to address the risk in lives of young people through education, protection, prevention and intervention.
