Man charged with rape released on bail but banned from entering parts of County Derry town

A man charged with raping a woman earlier this year has been granted bail.

Kyle Moore, 23, from Glengiven Avenue in Limavady, is charged with rape and common assault for incidents that took place on February 9 this year.

He is further charged with resisting police when he was arrested the following day, February 10.

An application was made for bail as Moore appeared in Derry Magistrates Court from HM Prison Magilligan via video link.

District Judge Barney McElholm granted Moore his own bail of £1,000 with a number of conditions in place.

The defendant must report twice per week to the PSNI, he is not to enter an area in Limavady marked on a map and must have no contact with the alleged injured parties.

He must not consume drugs or alcohol, has to reside at the specified bail address and had a curfew of 8pm-8am imposed.
