Detectives are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary that occurred in the Larchfield Gardens area of Kilrea on Friday morning.
At around 8am, two men armed with a suspected firearm entered a house and tied up the male homeowner. They then made off with a number of legally held firearms. The homeowner was not injured but was left badly shaken.
It is believed that the two men were in a small white van and made off in the direction of the Moneydig Road.
Detective Sergeant Wallace said: “I would ask anyone who has any information about this incident to contact detectives at Coleraine Police Station on 101, quoting reference number 176 of 02/09/16. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
