Police in Derry are warning householders to ensure their homes are secure.
It follows reports of reports last night of a would-be thieves trying door handles in The Meadows area of the city.
As a result, the PSNI’s Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Team are urging everyone to make sure their doors are locked at night and windows secure.
A spokesperson said: “Don't be an easy target for thieives and burglars!
“If you see suspicious activity call it in on 999 (emergency) or 101 (non-emergency).”
