Thieves who stole oil from a home in the Creggan area of Derry are “parasites of the community who need to be caught," a local councillor has said.
Sinn Fein Councillor Kevin Campbell was speaking a tank in Rinmore Drive was “drained” last night.
Condemning those responsible, Cllr Campbell added: “This is absolutely disgraceful.
“This is a young mother trying to raise her children and is finding it difficult enough to make ends meet from week to week without having her oil stolen.
”Please keep an eye out for your neighbours and report anything suspicious.”
Cllr Campbell concluded: “These people who steal oil are parasites of the community and need to be caught.”
