A commitment from the Finance Minister on marriage equality has been welcomed by Derry Sinn Fein Councillor Colly Kelly..
Cllr Kelly was speaking after his party colleague Catherine Seeley today asked Máirtín Ó Muilleoir about steps to bring forward marriage equality in the North.
Cllr Kelly said: "I welcome the fact the Minister reiterated his commitment to making progress on marriage equality by way of an Executive bill and indicated that he will seek Executive approval to move this forward.
"Marriage equality threatens no one and is a human right which everyone should be able to avail of.
"Sinn Féin is committed to ensuring that marriage equality is extended across the island."
