Police in Derry are appealing for information following an arson attack on a house in the city.
Firefighters were called to deal with the blaze at a terrace house in Westend Park at around 8.00pm on Monday last.
Smoke damage was caused to the living room of the house, which was unoccupied at the time, while graffiti was daubed over other rooms in the property.
Police said the fire was the result of a “deliberate ignition.”
Detective Constable Parker said: “I would ask anyone with any information about this incident, or anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area, to contact detectives at Maydown Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1247 of 17/10/16.
“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”.
