Transport NI has been called on to repair street lights along one of Derry’s most popular walkways.
The call comes from Sinn Féin Councillor Patricia Logue who has contacted Transport NI following concerns the lights were out along the riverfront adjacent to the marina and the offices of Derry City and Strabane District Council.
Councillor Logue said “I was contacted by a number of people who would walk and run this pathway on a regular basis .
“They were concerned that a number of lights were out along a stretch of the walkway.
“This is a very busy area throughout the day and night and with the onset of autumn it’s important that people are safe and feel safe in this area of the city.”
Cllr Logue concluded: “I have contacted Transport NI and asked them to rectify the situation as soon as possible.”
