The Millennium Forum today announced its partnership with the Richmond Centre as proud sponsor of its annual Christmas pantomime.

The local shopping centre will partner the biggest show of the season for the next three years beginning with this year’s festive extravaganza, Jack & The Beanstalk, which opens at the cityside venue on Fri 1st Dec for a monthly run.

Cara McCartney, Sponsorship and Development Officer at the Millennium Forum, commented: “We are delighted that Richmond Centre has come on board as pantomime sponsor for the next three years at the Millennium Forum. This long term partnership means that we can develop our pantomime offering to create the best in festive entertainment for our customers.

Lots of fun activities are already planned to celebrate this partnership. Launching at Santa’s Arrival on Saturday 11th November, we will have a Golden Egg Hunt (remember – the Giant in Jack & The Beanstalk had a magic goose that laid golden eggs?) in the Richmond Centre. A number of these Golden Eggs will be hidden around various locations in the Richmond Centre each Saturday during the start of the panto season (from 11th Nov to 2nd Dec). Anyone who finds one of these will receive VIP tickets to our magical pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk.”

Sponsorship with the Millennium Forum allows the Richmond Centre and Millennium Forum to support the local community via innovative educational and access projects.

These include an exclusive competition that will enable one school class to attend the panto free of charge and the creation of an educational touring video that will be produced with Stage Beyond theatre group courtesy of successful ‘match funding’ from A&B NI.  Full details of both projects will be announced soon.

Bobby Nicolson, Manager of Richmond Centre, added: "The Richmond Centre is absolutely honoured and delighted to be the sponsors of this year's Millennium Forum Christmas Panto. As a family orientated Shopping Centre, being part of the traditional family Christmas is very important to us and our customers. The Christmas Panto is always a wonderful and magical event for all the family and this year's Jack & The Beanstalk production is guaranteed to be the perfect outing for all the family. It's our pleasure to work with the Forum to bring our loyal customers a fun way to win free tickets to the biggest show of the year, through the 'Golden Egg Hunt Competition' which is bound to cause excitement for all involved."

Jack and the Beanstalk, sponsored by the Richmond Centre, will perform at the Millennium Forum from Fri 1st until Sun 31st December.  Tickets are now available from the Box Office.  Telephone 71 264455 or visitmillenniumforum.co.uk for bookings.

The ‘Golden Goose Egg Hunt’ begins at the Richmond Centre on Sat 11th Nov and runs until Sat 2nd Dec.  If you are lucky to find a Golden Egg hidden around the Richmond Centre, just bring it along to the Millennium Forum’s Box Office to claim your prize of a VIP Family Pass to see Jack & the Beanstalk on Sat 23rd Dec @ 2pm. What are you waiting for?  Get hunting – but don’t let the Giant catch you!
