A Derry woman who left her purse in a shop was charged with possessing cannabis after police found some in the purse.
Hannah Duddy (22) of Barnewall Place in Derry admitted having the cannabis on a date between July 1 and July 26 this year.
The court heard that a shopkeeper found the purse which had been left behind accidentally.
He reported it to the police who took possession and then opened it to find identification.
When the police opened it they found a small package of cannabis.
Defence solicitor Mr. Paddy MacDermott said that the facts spoke for themselves. He said Duddy had a record but mostly for public order offences.
District Judge Barney McElholm said 'at least she didn't kick off.'
He fined her £100
