A Derry man accused of terrorism offences in Syria has been formally cleared of three outstanding charges.

Eamon Bradley, 29, of Benview Estate in the Coshquinn area of Derry, has already stood trial twice for terrorist offences.

The charges, dating from March to September 2014, include receiving weapons training and attending terrorist training camps.

Two previous trials ended with juries failing to reach a verdict.

At the end of his first trial in February, a Crown Court jury in Derry acquitted him of possessing explosives, but was not able to reach a verdict on the other charges.

There was a hung jury on the more substantive charges of attending terrorist training camps in Syria and receiving instruction in the use of weapons and explosives.

However, Bradley has now been formally cleared of the remaining three charges.

A judge told Derry Crown Court today that given two juries had been unable to agree any verdicts, Mr Bradley (pictured above) would not be put on trial again.
