Police in Derry have issued an appeal after two separate incidents in Derry where stolen cars were set on fire.
In the first incident, a Silver Volkswagen Passat is believed had been stolen from the Thornhill Park area between 10pm on Thursday night and 7am on Friday morning.
The car was then set on fire in the Slievemore Park area a short time later at around 7.45am.
Police have asked anyone with information to contact them on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 246 of 8/12/2017.
On Saturday morning, police received a report of a car on fire in the vicinity of the Lecky Road flyover at around 8am.
Both police and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) attended and the fire was extinguished, with the vehicle then removed to allow the free flow of traffic.
The interior of the car was extensively damaged as a result.
The vehicle is believed to have been stolen from the area of Sackville Court sometime during the previous night.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact officers in Strand Road Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 361 of 09/12/17.
