A Derry pizzeria is too hot for its staff to work in, it emerged today.
The information came to light at a meeting of Derry City & Strabane District Council's Planning Committee, held in the Guildhall.
Romeo's Pizza were seeking to set up a new hot food takeaway, including public waiting area, kitchen, storage, office and ancillary spaces.
Their representative David Graham told the committee that the application was not for a new takeaway but the relocation of Romeo's existing outlet on the Strand Road.
He added that Romeo's intend to vacate the current premises after the current lease expires, as it is 'too hot for staff to work in'.
