The recent cold snap returned this morning with a shroud of ice enveloping parts of the North West.
Police say a number of collisions have already occurred.
A spokesperson for Foyle PSNI said: "We are receiving a number of calls re the icy conditions this morning.
"Most areas appear to be affected and a number of collisions have already occurred. Drivers appear to have been caught out by patches of ice on the road. Please allow extra time for your journey."
