Road closures are currently taking place at the Racecourse Road and Belt Road for £350,000 of work to take place.
The £245,000 resurfacing and reconstruction scheme at Racecourse Road has already commenced.
Work started on March 12 to resurface a section of the road heading northwards from Ballyarnett Roundabout to Alder Road.
To facilitate the resurfacing there will be a full road closure until March 20 between 9.30 am and 6.00 pm.
A spokesperson for the Department for Infrastructure said: “road users may experience some delays and additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
“The diversion via A514 Madam’s Bank Road and A1002 Culmore Road will be clearly signposted.”
A £106,000 resurfacing and reconstruction scheme has also begun on the Belt Road.
The work involves resurfacing a section of the road heading south westwards from Irish Street to Church Road.
To facilitate the resurfacing there will be a full road closure until April 1 between 9.30 am and 6.00 pm.
Access for local residents and businesses will be accommodated.
“It is expected that the work will be completed by early April, however, this is subject to favourable weather conditions and the Department will keep the public informed of any change,” added the spokesperson.
