A Derry man has made an amazing transformation after joining a local branch of Slimming World.
Christopher McClelland managed to lose three stone in five months after joining the Slimming World Chapel Road Group.
The group has praised Christopher for his efforts, adding: "We just love having him in our group every Wednesday...he's a star turn!"
Christopher commented: "I tried Slimming World once before and just couldn’t get the hang of it. I met my Consultant Carey Ann in Ibiza and she encouraged me to give it one more go. I hadn’t the slightest clue how to lose weight.
"I just used to eat anything and not care about the calories I was putting into my body. When I joined Chapel Road I was just more determined than ever because I was so tired of being overweight and feeling disgust looking in the mirror.
"I had never struggled with weight when I was younger it wasn’t until I got into my teens that the weight was just pilling on. I had no idea how to stop it. Joining the second time had a massive impact with the help and support of going to my wee group on a Wednesday morning.
"I fnd out ideas and motivation from other members and it has made an amazing impact on me. Would you believe I'm currently going to the gym five days a week.
"Something I’d have never had the confidence to even join before Slimming World.
"I have a loss of three stone in five months which I never even imagine I could do but have achieved and loved every minute of it...I am loving life again!"
