A charity event will be held in the Delacroix on the Buncrana Road in Derry tomorrow night to raise funds for an organisation who helped bring the remains of a Derry woman home following her tragic death last year.

Marie Coyle (pictured above) died suddenly whilst on a family holiday in Lanzarote in June last year.

An Irish charity helped eased the financial and emotional burden of bringing her home.

The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust (KBRT) was set up by the Bell family from Newry in memory of their son, Kevin, who was killed in a suspected hit-and-run in New York in June 2013.

Since then, the charity has helped almost 400 families whose loved ones have died away from home.

In the wake of her death, Marie’s family have held a number of fundraising events to provide help for the Trust, including a memorial walk organised by her sister, Yvonne.

The family of the late Marie Coyle are now holding a special charity night in memory of her tomorrow, Sarurday, April 7 in the Delacroix, Buncrana Road, starting at 9pm.

This event was originally scheduled to take place on March 3 but had to be postponed due to adverse weather conditions. There will be entertainment provided and there will also be a disco and buffet.

Suggested donation for entry is a very reasonable £5 with a few raffles taking place during the course of the evening with prizes up for grabs.

All proceeds from the evening will go directly to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust who brought Marie's remains home to Ireland.

A spokesperson for the family said: "We will be forever grateful to the KBRT for everything they did for us at an extremely difficult time for our family.

"Mr Colin Bell, founder & chairman of the KBRT will be with us on the evening of 7th April at the Delacroix,we invite you to come along, have a great evening and raise funds for a truly fantastic and worthwhile cause."
