It has been confirmed this morning that Carpetright, which has premises at Derry's Crescent Link Retail Park, is to close.
As recently as a week ago, Carpetright had said there were no plans to close the store. This followed reports that Carpetright, the leading floor covering business in the UK, was down-sizing for financial reasons.
Carpetright own 420 mainly out-of-town stores and 15 concessions in the UK. Carpetright had been reported as ‘closing duplicate and underperforming outlets, while refurbishing its remaining stores with new branding’.
