Police in Derry appeal for witnesses after car was rammed into garage in Strathfoyle and set alight

Police in Derry are appealing for information after damage was caused to the garage of a house in Clonmeen Drive, Strathfoyle in the early hours of Monday, April 9.

Constable Alan Fenton said; “A white Citroen Saxo car was driven into the door of a detached garage at the house shortly after midnight on Monday morning and set alight.

"There were no reports of any injuries as a result of the incident however, substantial damage was caused to the garage.

"I would appeal for anyone who might have information which could assist the investigation to contact police at Strand Road on 101 quoting CCS 24 of 09/04/18.

"Particularly any sightings of persons or vehicles in the area at the time which have then left the scene.

"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
