Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Simon Coveney, is to address business leaders at the annual Londonderry Chamber of Commerce President’s Lunch later this month.
Mr Coveney has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at Derry’s annual networking showpiece in the City Hotel on Wednesday, April 25 from 12:30pm to 2pm.
In June 2017, Mr Coveney was appointed Deputy Leader of Fine Gael. In November, he took on the roles of Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade with responsibility for Brexit.
Chamber President Jennifer McKeever said: “We are looking forward to welcoming the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade to the 2018 President’s Annual Lunch.
“Minister Coveney is making great efforts to re-establish the Northern Ireland Assembly and minimise the impact of Brexit on both sides of the border.
“Local business leaders who trade cross-border, within the EU or have specific interests in issues pertaining to Brexit will be particularly keen to hear what Mr Coveney has to say,” she said.
Ms McKeever added: “Our annual lunch is one of the key highlights of this region’s business calendar. It is a celebration of business and leadership in the North West and offers an excellent networking opportunity for business leaders with an interest in the economic, political, educational, and social life of the region.”
The Annual President’s Lunch admission fee is £40 + VAT for Chamber members. To register, log on to www.londonderrychamber.co.uk or email lorraine@londonderrychamber.co.uk.
