A Derry bar has been selected as the best in the city by the National Pub & Bar Awards who named 94 pubs top bars across the UK.
The Walled City Brewery in Ebrington Square scooped the accolade for Derry. The bar/restaurant is situated in Ebrington Square within walking distance of Derry's city centre.
The pubs, which have been chosen on overall best practice across a number of operational categories, will be officially crowned at a red carpet celebration in London on Wednesday, May 23.
At the grand final, 15 Regional Winners will also be announced, as well as the esteemed accolade – the overall National Pub & Bar of the Year.
Tristan O’Hana, Editor of Pub & Bar magazine, which runs the awards said: “This positive, industry-boosting news comes at a time when closures of pubs and bars are too often focused on in the press."
