The PSNI has seized alcohol from young people gathering at an area in Derry which has been plagued with anti-social behaviour in recent years.
Police officers were called to the Madams Bank tunnel last night following reports from concerned residents.
Gates were erected at the underpass a number of years ago as part of a bid to curb anti-social behaviour at the site.
Police say they seized a large quantity of alcohol and also raised concerns over the age of some of the young people who had been drinking, adding that its officers also help reduced anti-social behaviour for those living nearby.
"Early intervention is key in these circumstances," a police spokesperson said.
