SDLP Ballyarnett Councillor Brian Tierney has urged people to respond to a consultation from the Department of Infrastructure regarding proposals for a traffic calming scheme for Moss Road in Galliagh, pictured above.
Cllr Tierney said:“Having worked closely with the Principal of St Paul’s Primary and Nursey School for traffic calming measures to be established for Moss Road, I hope that these proposals would help to alleviate road safety concerns and fears.
“Moss Road is extremely busy and with St Paul’s being situated on the road, it is essential that traffic calming measures are put in place to protect our children.
“I am pleased that the Department for Infrastructure has taken action on this matter and I welcome their proposals. I would encourage people to respond to the consultation which is open until Monday 30th April and I look forward to traffic calming measures being put in place on Moss Road to keep our children safe.”
