Teenage boy arrested after overnight arson attack on car in Derry

Police in Derry have arrested a 16-year-old boy following an arson attack on a car in the Rossnagalliagh area of city in the early hours of this morning.

He was later released on bail pending further police enquiries.

PSNI Inspector Tony Moore has appealed appeal to anyone who may have been in the area around 12.25am and noticed anyone acting suspiciously to contact police at Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101.

He added: “Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
