Ever wanted to become a DJ but didn’t know where to go, what to do? Even get deep into Hip Hop Culture? Maybe explore what Music Production is all about?
Well, are you aged 14-16 and interested in the music industry?
Studio 2 has teamed up with Bounce Culture and are offering a new innovative Pilot Project looking at Hip Hop Culture, DJ technology and a comprehensive look at music production.
The project, starting next Tuesday night (May 1st) at Studio 2 will include music performance, song lyrics, music production, hip hop culture, west Africa, Northern Ireland, DJ technology and even a podcast radio show.
Facilitator Edel Saunders appealed to those budding young music industry buffs out there to come along and take part.
“This is about learning in a relaxed atmosphere with some of the most experienced in the business. We will look at hip hop, Djing and generally, everything about music production. All in the informal setting of Studio 2. Teenagers out there interested in music should come along and sample what is on offer.’
The Bounce Culture Project, sponsored by The Big Lottery; Arts Council NI, British Council NI and Derry City and Strabane District Council, will see experienced facilitators on hand from 6pm-8pm for two hours of instruction, fun and an interesting insight into the industry and all that it entails.
