Derry butcher Hugh Hegarty is appealing for anyone who may have left a bag in his William Street shop today to contact him as a matter of urgency.
Writing on Facebook, the businessman said: "Calling all you Sherlocks out there. As Pat Ramsey is on holiday I'll need you all to work out who this might belong to.
"A bag was left in the shop today and in it was a folder with a lot of work on a series of family trees. The person who left it hasn't returned and may be frantic with worry.
"Does anyone know who is doing research on these families? Can you let them know that the bag is in Hegarty's Butchers in William Street. We're open tonight until 5.30 and open again tomorrow 8.30 to 5.30 or they can call 7127 1094. Spread the word. Thanks."
