Derry senior hurling manager Collie McGurk has named his side for Saturday's opening game in the Christy Ring Cup against London in Ballinascreen (1.00).
The team will be captained by Slaughtneil's Chrissy McKaigue, with club colleague Cormac McKenna as vice-captain.
McGurk has named eight players from the county champions in the starting line-up, with Brian Cassidy on the bench.
Darragh McCloskey and Jack Phelan, two of the four players to start every game this season, are listed in defence. Another is goalkeeper Michael Kirkpatrick.
Cuala All-Ireland winning duo Cian and Naoise Waldron, also an ever-present, have been named in the side. Their brother Odrán, now transferred to Lavey, is among the subs.
Oisin McCloskey captained the side last year but has been out with a long-term injury and hasn't played a competitive game since scoring 1-1 in their league defeat to Armagh at the end of February.
Top scorer Alan Grant (1-34) has played in all the games but a broken finger rules him out. Gerald Bradley and Niall Farren are both unavailable, with pre-booked holidays.
McKaigue and Brendan Rogers face a busy four week spell, with three Christy Ring games on top of Derry's Ulster SFC game against the winner of Donegal or Cavan.
The other game in Derry's group will be between Ulster rivals Down and Armagh.
