Translink has confirmed there are no future plans to install toilets on its 212 Derry to Belfast service.
The 212 is used by hundreds of commuters and students on a weekly basis, and runs directly from the city to Belfast with no stops.
It's now emerged that Translink will not be installing toilets on the buses which service the route.
The news came at this afternoon's meeting of Derry City and Strabane District Council's Business and Culture committee, where a representative from Translink outlined their future investment plans for the local area.
Commenting, the UUP's Derek Hussey raised concerns over the lack of toilet facilities on the vehicles, particularly in the case of people returning from concerts in Belfast late at night.
Responding, Philip Woods, Area Manager with Translink, confirmed that there are no plans to 'remedy' that situation and install toilets in the buses.
He added that completion on the A6 Derry to Belfast upgrade should also make the journey much shorter.
