A Derry councillor has urged parents to speak to their children following complaints about behaviour at Ballyarnett Play Park in Derry.
Sinn Féin councillor Sandra Duffy said: “I have been dealing with numerous complaints over the last twenty four hours regarding Ballyarnett Play Park.
"Some have been about unsupervised children creating havoc in the park and others regarding concerns about thick black smoke coming from the burning of tyres in the area.
"I have spoken to all the statutory agencies regarding this and have asked them to follow up on these issues as a matter of urgency.
"It’s important that parents speak to their children, encourage them to enjoy the good weather and the park without causing distress and upset to others.
