A charity fundraising event is taking place this Friday for a Derry boy who son suffers from a rare life-limiting disease.
Cian McIntye, who will be 12 in two weeks time, suffers from A-T (Ataxia-Telangiectasia), which is a rare and complex genetic disorder that affects a number of different systems within the body.
A-T has many symptoms including difficulty with movement and co-ordination, a weakened immune system and an increased risk of cancer.
Cian is currently being treated with medical cannabis which has been hugely successful and halted many of the degenerative effects of his condition.
His great aunt, Laura Duffy, has now organised a charity evening this Friday at the Abercorn Bar to help raise funds for Cian.
There will be music, food and raffles and everyone is welcome.
