The incident happened shortly after 7pm on Thursday evening when a SAAB car carrying a couple and their daughter collided with the roundabout at the Skeoge Link Road, Galliagh.

All three occupants were taken to hospital after crews from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) used cutting equipment to free them from the vehicle.

The 55-year-old man driving the vehicle was arrested at the scene.

A spokesperson for the NIFRS told the Derry News that three fire appliances were called to the crash.
