Republic of Ireland fans have added a French touch to one of Derry’s most famous landmarks.
Fans from the city who have travelled to France for the European Championships to support Martin O'Neill's team have designed a special Irish tricolour to show where they are from.
The flag includes the famous Free Derry Wall – complete with a French translation of the legendary slogan ‘You are now entering Free Derry’.
Pictured holding the flag at tonight’s opening game between the Republic and Sweden in Paris are Derry men Alan Healy (left) and Ciaran Strawbridge.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw and the local fans, complete with their impressive flag, now travel to Bordeaux for the next game against Belgium on Saturday.
