A young Derry girl has made it through to the final of a beauty contest with a difference.
Chloe Louise Davies (picture) will be one of the contestants in the Miss Earth Northern Ireland final next month.
As well as being chosen for their beauty, the girls are also recognised for their commitment to the environment.
Chloe (19), from the Skeoge area of the city, said she was looking forward to the final taking place in the City Hotel on July 17.
She said: “To win the title of Miss Earth Northern Ireland would be unbelievable as last year’s winner got the chance to travel to Austria for four weeks for the grand final and the year before it was in the Philippines.”
The former pupil of Oakgrove Integrated College added:.“To represent Northern Ireland at a grand final alongside beautiful women from all over the world would be an absolute dream come true as the environment is something which I am very passionate about.”
