Police in Derry have arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of burglary.
He was detained following a report of a break-in at a house in the Woodbrook area of the city at around 4.00am this morning.
He is currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
Police have appealed to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area at around 4.00am to contact them at Strand Road, quoting reference number 129 23/06/16.
A police spokesperson said if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they could contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
