Work is due to begin in the near future on a new building project costing an estimated £2.7m at one of Derry’s best known school.
The work at St Columb’s College on Buncrana Road will see the construction of a new sports hall.
There will also be refurbishment of an existingl to allow for the construction of a new drama suite.
The Minister of Education, Peter Weir, said the cost of the work at St Columb’s was £2.669m.
The Education Minister outlined details of the work following a question in the Northern Ireland Assembly this week about the expenditure on School Enhancement Programmes (SEP) in the Foyle area.
