A major clean-up of Culmore Point Beach will take place this weekend.
With the annual Clipper Maritime Festival happening in the city, organisers Surfers Against Sewage (SAS), said it was the “perfect opportunity” to help keep the River Foyle litter free.
The beach clean will take place on Saturday, from 2.00pm until 4.00pm, with the meeting point being the Culmore Point Lighthouse.
A spokesperson for SAS said: “Make sure to get there five-10 minutes early.
“ All bags and gloves will be provided so just make sure you're dressed appropriately for the weather.”
