A walk will take place through Ballymagroarty housing estate in Derry tonight in protest at anti-social behaviour in the area.
The newly-formed Ballymagroarty Community Empowerment (BCE) says it has been inspired by a similar initiative in the Galliagh area of the city where Galliagh Community Empowerment claims it has been successful in reducing the number of incidents of anti-social behaviour there.
Calling for support for tonight’s walk, which will leave Ballymagroaarty Stores at 7.00pm, a BCE spokesperson said the initiative was non-political and was about the people of the area showing anti-social elements that “we can unite as a community.”
