Police in Derry are appealing for information following the robbery of a man aged in his 30s in the city.
The victim was robbed and assaulted in the Foyle Road area sometime before 11.30pm on Thursday last.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
Appealing for information, Detective Constable Richard Donnell asked anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information in relation to it to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Strand Road, quoting reference number 1481 21/07/16.
He added: “Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
A 36-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman arrested in connection with the incident have since been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
