Former Republic of Ireland international and Everton player, Kevin Sheedy (centre) and Joe O'Reilly presenting a cheque for to £1,241 (for Foyle Search and Rescue) on behalf of the Irish Toffees (Everton Ireland Supporters Club) to James Doherty.
The money was raised through a Irish Toffees v Derry Legends game played at Swilly Stadium at Templemore Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon and A Night with Kevin Sheedy in the Magnate Bar that night.
Stephen Twells, chairman of Foyle Search and Rescue, said: “On behalf of Foyle Search a Rescue a big thank you to James and all the Everton supporters who organised a great fundraising weekend in aid of Foyle Search and Rescue and even brought over the Everton legend Kevin Sheedy to take part.
“Thank you to all the organisers and supporters for your generous donation.”
