It's not every day a father and son find themselves on the same breathing apparatus training exercise with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS).
That's what happened recently to Firefighter John Jennings, based at Western Area Command Community Development Department and his son Firefighter Noel Jennings who is based at Crescent Link Fire Station in Derry..
John joined the then Northern Ireland Fire Brigade in 1991 and Noel followed in his footsteps two years ago, keeping the firefighting tradition going within the Jennings family.
The training exercise was designed to refresh breathing apparatus techniques and involved firefighters from Western Area Command.
