NI International Ploughing Championships being held in Limavady next week

The 73rd Northern Ireland International Ploughing Championships will take place in Limavady next week.

Over qualified competitors from throughout the island of Ireland will compete in the event being held on August 19 and 20 at Edenmore Road, Bovally..

They will take part in seven different classes - World Style Conventional, World Style Reversible, Vintage Class, Horse Class, Horse Style and Appearance Class, Young Farmers Class and Ladies Class.

The Championships are seen as an ideal meeting place for anyone involved in the agricultural industry and their families to see top ploughmen show off their skills for the honour of being crowned a Northern Ireland Champion and representing their country on European and world stages.

Last year the event included trade exhibits, Young Farmers Club competitions, plus many attractions for the 1000's of spectators to enjoy.

This year, as well as the usual attractions, there will be lots for all the family including exhibitions and trade stands, children s activities and other demonstrations.
