Postal operator pleads guilty to interfering and stealing cash from mail

A 39 year-old postal operator has pleaded guilty to interfering and stealing bank notes from Royal Mail.
Gary Doyle of Clarkes Crescent, Gulladuff, Knockloughrim is charged with six counts of theft and six counts of interfering with mail.
The defendant entered pleas of guilty to all 12 charges when he appeared before Magherafelt Magistrates’ Court this morning.
The offences occurred on July 8, 2015.
Court papers revealed that the defendant stole a total of £65.
Defence barrister, Eoghan Devlin told the court that the defendant has no criminal record.
District Judge Alan White adjourned the matter for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Doyle will appear back before court for sentencing on September 7.
